By purchasing tickets or advertising, attending, entering, volunteering, performing, sponsoring, or otherwise participating in any event hosted by QC Black Hall of Fame, The Influence Event Suite, and their parents, subsidiaries, partners, sponsors, and affiliates (collectively, “Event Organizers”), you agree to the following terms:
1) Acceptance of Terms
Your purchase or attendance constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of this Disclaimer, the posted event rules, and any instructions from Event Organizers or venue staff.
2) No Refunds / All Sales Final
All ticket and advertising purchases are final. No refunds, exchanges, or credits will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to illness, scheduling conflicts, weather, travel issues, or dissatisfaction. If the event is postponed, previously issued tickets/ads will be honored for the rescheduled date; if canceled outright, Event Organizers may, at their sole discretion, offer a credit or alternative benefits.
3) Tickets, Transfers & Resale
Tickets are revocable licenses. Event Organizers may refuse or revoke entry for any reason consistent with law. Unauthorized resale, duplication, or tampering may void entry without refund. Transfers may be allowed at the Organizers’ discretion.
4) Media Release & Content Ownership
- Attendee Consent: You understand that events may be photographed, filmed, live-streamed, or otherwise recorded. By entering the venue, you grant Event Organizers a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your likeness, voice, and performance as captured at the event in any media for promotional, commercial, archival, or other lawful purposes, without compensation or further notice.
- Provided Materials: If you submit, upload, share, or display any text, logos, graphics, photos, video, music, copy, or other content (“Materials”) for ads, sponsorships, presentations, or displays, you represent and warrant that (a) you own the Materials or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to use them and to grant Event Organizers the rights described here, and (b) the Materials do not infringe any third-party rights.
- License to Use Submitted Materials: You grant Event Organizers a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to copy, display, distribute, edit, adapt, and otherwise use the Materials in connection with the event, related promotions, and archival purposes. You remain the owner of your Materials.
5) Trademarks & Intellectual Property
All event names, logos, designs, programs, photography, video, and other creative works produced by Event Organizers are protected intellectual property. No use is permitted without prior written consent.
6) Code of Conduct / Right to Remove
Event Organizers may remove or refuse entry to anyone whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise violates event rules, without refund.
7) Assumption of Risk
You understand that attending an in-person event involves inherent risks (including crowds, loud sounds, lighting effects, and other hazards). You voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness (including communicable diseases), property loss, or other harm arising out of or related to your attendance.
8) Release & Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Event Organizers, the venue, sponsors, vendors, contractors, and their officers, employees, and agents from any claims or liabilities arising from your attendance or participation. You agree to indemnify and defend Event Organizers against any claims arising from (a) your conduct, (b) your breach of this Disclaimer, or (c) Materials you provide.
9) Event Changes / Force Majeure
Event details (performers, speakers, schedule, seating, format, capacity, or venue) are subject to change without notice. Event Organizers are not liable for delay, partial performance, or nonperformance caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control (e.g., acts of God, weather, power failure, labor issues, public safety concerns, government orders).
10) Privacy
Attendance may require basic personal information for ticketing, access control, and security. Event Organizers may use such information consistent with applicable law and any posted privacy notice.
11) Severability / Governing Law
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of the state where the event is held, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
